National Teaching Award
- In 2011, Rosina was honoured with a prestigious National Award  - the Australian Learning and Teaching Council,  Australian Awards for University Teaching, Award for Excellence in Teaching. There were only 22 such in 2011 across all Australian teaching institutions.

In 2009 Rosina was recognised in her research field as one of the top 20 influential researchers.

Rosina was awarded the 2009 Vice-Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Teaching. The selection panel were impressed with the successful results Rosina had achieved with such large class sizes and her passion and enthusiasm for teaching and for her students. Rosina's commitment to inspiring students and her efforts to make a compulsory subject exciting for a large cohort of students was inspiring.

Also in 2009, Rosina was awarded with an AFAANZ Best Paper Award

Rosina was awarded the 2008 Wayne Lonergan Outstanding Teaching Award. The selection panel noted that Rosina demonstrated strong leadership and commitment at multiple levels, from passion in the classroom to careful unit of study design and scholarship of teaching.

In 2006, Rosina was awarded an AFAANZ Best Paper Award.
Also in 2006, she was awarded with Dr Amani Ahmed Dr Tai Peseta, a Carrick Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning for 'excellence in the leadership, design and implementation of a faculty-wide tutor development program'. These national citations are granted to people who have made a significant contribution to the quality of student learning in a specific area of responsibility over a sustained period.

In 2005 she was awarded the British SIG Annual Prize for her co-authored best paper published for the year in the journal

In 2001 Rosina was recognised as a highly accomplished teacher of large groups. The Teaching and Educational Development Institute of the University of Queensland was awarded a grant from the Australian Universities Teaching Committee (AUTC) to conduct a project entitled Identifying and Supporting Effective Methods of Enhancing Learning - Teaching Large Classes. Part of the project was to select 3 highly accomplished teachers of large classes at each of the major universities in Australia. Rosina was selected as one of the three from my university and invited to participate in the project.
